Item condition
This is how we test and evaluate our products
Before we list our collectibles online, our colleagues carefully test each item. Depending on the product type and model, various technical points are taken into account.
We then categorise our products into appropriate categories: from good to acceptable to partially defective or defective – so you know exactly what to expect. We consistently sort out severely damaged or defective items. You only receive fully functional products suitable for practical use. Please note: some defective cameras are sold if they are still of collector's value – in this case they are clearly labelled.
NOTE: Each item is unique. Visual differences (serial numbers, logos, minor scratches) are possible. Functionality is tested with great care, but without long-term testing or video recording
GOOD
Technically fully functional
Light to normal signs of wear are present. This does not affect the functionality.
ACCEPTABLE
Functional
There are noticeable signs of wear or slight play in the mechanics.
PARTIAL DEFECT
Basic functions given
Usable, but with a defective light meter or flash (depending on the camera type)
FUNGUS INFESTATION
For collectors or hobbyists
Fungus is present in the lens system, which can impair image quality. Mechanics intact.
DEFECTIVE APERTURE
Limited functionality
The aperture mechanism is faulty or blocked. All other functions are intact.
DEFECT
Not working
Only Suitable for spare parts or decoration. May have technical defects, mold, fog, scratches, or a combination thereof.
